Haven't tried it, but tomorrow, I've got a bunch of people coming for brisket and ham.

I'll make up about 1/3 recipe and post the results on Monday.

The sauce sounds similar to one I had in Shreveport over Labor Day. The stuff was very good.

Wish me luck!

I made a third portion of the Shack BBQ sauce.

Most of my guests considered it too peppery, not necessarily hot, just too much black pepper. They all chose my two KC-style sauces as their favorites, not by vote, but by usage.

I may try it again, but will definitely cut the black pepper to about a 1/2 portion.

Richard, can you share any of your KC style sauce recipes with the newbies? Or can anyone else share some favorite sauce recipes? Thanks!!!!

Here's a darn good little sauce, compliments of my budday and fellow Canadian 'Q' freak, Scotty Jacobson (actually I think it may be Scotty's Mom who deserves the credit, I'm not sure)

It's a super-easy no-cook, and the greatest thing is you can probably whip it up any time, because you've probably got everything at home already.

1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup Water
1 Tbsp Vinegar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1/2 tsp Worcestershire
