Seriously Thinking About a Q3200


 
To follow up this thread for anyone who is running through the same thought process, here's what I can tell you after a couple weeks.

I just finished cooking 4 ears of corn, two steaks and a mess of fried potatoes all at once. I might have shoe-horned it onto the 2200, but I am glad I didn't have to. I like the extra real estate and the center burner. If you're moving your Q, the 2200 is the better choice, but for a patio, I would pick the 3200.

I love the griddle (plancha...flat top...whatever you want to call it). Just made the best home fries I've ever achieved, and there's not a trace of grease odor in the house.

Any "smoke" flavor missing from grilled cooks (hot and fast) is more than compensated for by the ease of use and the complete control over the heat source. I'm very happy to have added this to the cooking arsenal.
