Second visit did not disappoint!

After having the best burger I’ve ever had in any restaurant anywhere at ”Iron Shoe distillery” in Niles Michigan a few weeks back, my wife decided that she wanted to see what I’d been carrying on about so, nice Sunday afternoon for a drive. Last time she had their “Piggy Mac” which was Mac and cheese topped with EXCELLENT pulled pork and onion straws, drizzled with a cherry barbecue sauce, it was mighty good.
this trip she had the “Sweet and Salty” burger (what I’d had last time) excellent beef with burrata arugula and a fig jam excellent this time too though, that was not my choice this visit.
I opted for their “Nashville hot Chicken and Waffles” which did not disappoint! Perfectly crisp Belgian waffle fluffy, beautiful. Excellent chicken fried to a beautiful golden brown just spicy enough. The syrup made a perfect foil for the heat. The apple slaw saw a good textural counterpoint too. So, if you ever find yourself in, or near, Niles, make the stop! The address is 3 Third street! There is a great little chocolate shop down the street too, “Veni’s” great chocolates!
Eat, Drink and, be Merry!

Of course I google image that place.......
Holy cow...........
I will never get there but if I was within a couple hours I would go constantly.

Just got off the phone with my wife’s son, they went there a little later than we did! He had the special which was a Bleu cheese burger, same Chuck brisket short rib meat blend, succulent burger to say the least.
SWMBO wanted to try a couple of their booze, very rare for her to want that sort of thing but, the bourbon cream wasn’t bad and the orangecello was fair. Not my cup but, she liked them.
