Searing burner

Thoroughly took apart & cleaned my Genesis grill. Now the searing burner has huge flame at the back end of the burner. How to eliminate this?

Hi Linda. The obvious question is: Did you wind up putting a hole in the burner when cleaning it?

Also, what model of Genesis is it? If you could, please post photos of the full grill along with photos of the burner both with and without being lit.
