Sausage

I picked up some sausage on the way home from work this evening from Krizman's House of Sausage in Kansas City, Kansas. I've asked more than one BBQer here in the area if they make their own sausage. The response: Why? We've got Kirzman's!

Anyway, I purchased at random and am looking forward to testing the results!

We have a place called Fresh Market that has good steaks and sausage. I always pick up a couple to throw on the smoker for snacks. They come out great. I tried some brats and keilbasa last week end.
 
The things that I have heard about the Elgin brand sausage from Texas make me think that it is about time to figure out how to "import" some to Illinois and compare it with the great sausages that I pick up while in Wisconsin. I like to cook the sausages on a raised grate about 6" above the regular grate. This allows me to get them cooked all the way through, while not burning the casings.
 
Kelly, where is Krizman's located and what all do they have? I've been looking for good sausage beyond the Henhouse or Hyvee variety.

I'm also in Lenexa...Oak Park subdivision.
