I was at Sam's club and noticed that the price by the case is pretty cheap. Does anyone know how many lbs of pork butt come in a case, or how many lbs of baby back ribs come in a case? thanks in advance!
 
Butts can be either 4 two packs or 5 two packs depending on which packing house they bought from that week. each butt is about 7 to 8 pounds but they can run bigger or smaller. I don't know about baby backs but spares run three packs of three. The spare are have the brisket bone removed. I spend about $1K to $2K a week on case meat at Sam's. It's cheaper because to quote Mr. Gump you're getting a box of chocolates. Once I bought a case of choice or higher brisket and they were all graded prime
