Rust on my CI grates, HELP!!

Kids playing in the backyard, not sure what they used my lid for but my 2 week old CI grates got rusted by all the rain in NJ.

Quickest way to clean up?

Really no quick way. Wire brush the rust off, wash with hot soapy water and reseason.

A vinegar soak usually does a good job at removing light rust especially with a little brushing.
