Round tube manifold

I have a 2001 or older round tube manifold from a genesis silver c that I want to remove the control valves from. Do I just unscrew the valve from the tubing? I only ever delt with the square tubing manifolds that have a screw on the opposite side of the tube..thanks in advance for your replies

Yep, that's all. They're in there with standard NPT threads. When reinstalling use some good pipe dope made for NG or LP installations.

I see Bruce posted the pipe dope first. Use it to attach the regulator.

A rule of thumb taught to me, by a gas fitter. Tape is OK on 3/8" but dope is preferrable. Any smaller than 3/8" he said dope it only. Because the treads are too fine. But, there are different fittings. IIRC yours has 1/4" NPT to attach regulator hose to manifold so definitely dope. I've tried tape in those small fittings but don't have luck because gas pipe tape is too thick
