i dont post many pics even though i am cooking all the time..... my food pales in comparison to what some of you all do. but here goes anyway.....

trying to dump my coals a little earlier.... this was todays.... im thinking they were in there a little longer than necessary....

first time grilling zucchini.... man i should not have waited so long... very good. my 4 yr old even ate some!

the first set of steaks for the kids.... mild seasoning...

"big people" round steaks.... some Durkee spicy smokey mesquite

where i am from this is how we do it.... lay the tortilla on top of all the meat.... and then i covered it up for about ten minutes or so. the steaks were still a bit tough.... after a few minutes with the lid on they were great.

sorry no plated pics.... my pack was ravenous!

Looks like you are cooking for a lot of folks! Becky, That looks like a Great cook with Great pic's. You should post more often!

yup.... i am cooking for 6 of us, and then usually some for my husbands lunch. i have a smokey joe in NIB that i should just get out to cook my veg and sausages/dogs on. would probably be a big help.

WOW! those look Great Becky! I love the zucchini. that is going to be another first that I have to try. Nice meal!

thanks everyone!

@ Mr. Jim.... yup, sliced up some of the steaks and just ate them in the tortillas. also ate some sausage in the tortillas.

i usually have tortillas with almost everything!

Hey Becky!

Could you explain in a little more detail your thing with the tortillas on the steaks, and how it helps make them tender?

Thanks,

JimT

same thing as if you were going to cover something with foil and set it to the side to get tender.

i grew up seeing my family place tortillas over whatever they were cooking.... the tortillas act as foil and help the meat get tender and you heat up your tortillas at the same time.
