Rotisserie motor maintenance?

Are the newer rotisserie motors at all serviceable? I have one that has the black plastic cover that looks to be held on with 4 screws, and it's been a little noisy lately. Ordinarily I'd just open it up because on the surface it seems that simply removing the cover won't mess anything up, but it never hurts to ask first!

Not sure if they want you to, but I opened mine and greased the gears and cleaned the motor and it quieted down a bunch.

i've written about that several times. yes, they need going through. i have found loose screws and galling shafts. so go through it. make sure all screws are tight. you also need to not only lube the gears but the shafts also. i use white grease. you don't need to use a lot, just sparingly.
