RIP " Mr Cub"

It is a sad day. I know these last years his health hasn't been good but I hope now He and Harry can drink a few Old Styles and watch 'em Play Two!

In my youth, my admiration went beyond Musial and other Cardinal players.
My wish list for baseball cards also included Ernie, Say Hey Willie, Mantle, Hammerin' Hank, Jackie Robinson, Spahn, and several others.
The loss of Ernie is a loss for all fans of baseball.

As a side note:
The Las Vegas Odds for winning the World Series this year have the St. Louis Cardinals same as the Chicago Cubs, at 12 to 1.

Say whaaat?

Ernie Banks was as great a person as he was a player. Both on and off the field. He would autograph baseballs with a smile
for the fans. I still have 2. Later after baseball he owned Ernie Banks Ford, a place that did business the right way. Hard to
tell who loved being a Cub, and playing the game more, Ernie or Ron Santo, maybe that would be a tie. As far as the Cubs
going to the World Series anytime soon, just remember the Bartman catch, and the curse of the goat.
