Walkerwoods jerk I blend it up with cloves of garlic, an onion, allspice berries and soy sauce. And dashes of nutmeg, cand cinnamon

malcom reed the bbq rub

and some head country rub

250 seems to be a sweet spot for me on ribs unless I’m trying to go quicker.

hung for about 4 hours no wrap
You could probably up the flavor a bit with a wrap but nobody here complains and it’s a lot easier when cooking for friends

And which was the winner?
Lol are there winners and losers in this scenario
I guess if I had to choose it would be the jerk seasoned ribs.
my favorites change but jerk recently has got me excited
my buddy and I have been on a jerk kick, I’ve been using rib rack cider or there southern bourbon bbq sauce cooked with some chopped ginger and onions to glazE.
the scotch bonnets in the jerk seasoning bring some solid heat which is why I’ve been enjoying it too

Malcoms “the bbq rub” is very tasty but I only bought the bottle to try it out. It’s a little expensive to be my go to rub so I’m probably not going to re order it right away.
I think it’s fantastic and always has a great flavored rib especially when I’m making some sweet saucy Spare ribs 👌🏾

Head country, I feel like it goes great on chicken. It’s got excellent flavor too but maybe in my opinion the flavor is a bit more herbaceous And on this length of smoke using pecan and cherry I think some of the herby essence was lost.

if anyone has any opinions on head country I’d love to hear them
