Reusing wood chunks.

Anyone reuse whats left of unburned wood chunks? Seems like a waste to keep tossing them out.

I just toss them in my chimney lighter for the next cook - after all, they're now charcaol!

Anything that doesn't get burned to ashes the first time, goes right back in the next time.

Same here. You'll need to add fresh wood chunks each smoke, but do reuse the unburnt stuff.

I always reuse wood chunks/ charcoal. If it's not complete ash, does not make the food taste any dif

The lump and wood, that's left over after the cook, goes in the chimney on the next cook to start the coals.
