Retrofit Q320 Electronic Ignition On Q300?

I picked up a used Q300 off Craigslist for $40.00 including the propane tank this week.

Is it possible to retrofit the Q320 electronic igniter on the Q300?

no idea. why do you want to do this ? don't they both have a battery ? ok, checked further and i guess yer older model 300 had a piezo system. whats wrong with that ?

Great buy on the Q. My 300 also has the piezo system and works flawlessly, the older Q 220 I picked up recently also has the piezo, but took many more pumps to get ignition. I took it apart and found that the shield next to the burner had quite a bit of corrosion on the inside where the spark grounded. I took a small file to it and cleaned it up until it shined. I then reassembled the starter and tried it out and it fired up on the first push. Maybe this will help you and others that might have problems with ignition problems with the piezo.
