Resting Place for Old Weber Kettles?

Where do old weber kettles go when they no longer serve your household? Obviously, they don't just quit. I've got two weber kettles at the beach house where constant exposure to sun, salt and extreme weather takes its toll. Both of the 22.5" kettles have rusted out bottom vents. Jerry rigged handles, but continue to serve well at the beach. I wish i had taken a pic, but this past week fired them both up multiple times for smoked chicken wings; two tenderloins; and, seared ahi ahi tuna. They continue to serve well. Where do your old weber's retire?

Like James I "foster" mine to family, friends, neighbors and work. I always add the disclaimer that if they decide they don't want one of my old ones anymore they come back to me.

Either could be used as a high-dome lid on another 22" if you were doing a beer can turkey or something else that needs more headroom than the standard lid provides. It won't fit snugly because it has the same rolled edge as the bottom but it's easy to balance it in place.

My first kettle is sitting behind the camper, but I think I might repurpose it into a homemade performer, the reason I retired it was the leg sockets are rusting out. Heck it's only twenty some years old, it still has some good cooks left in it.

My kettle is 35 years old and looks ugly from sitting out in the weather. But it just keeps on cooking and is not interested in retirement.
