Remove 1200 side tables?

I have a WSM and a Performer Platinum that currently handle all the chores. I want to add a Q for doing quick burgers, corn, baked potatoes, etc. I'm deciding between a 1000 and 1200. I have a stainless restaurant prep table in my BBQ area, so I don't need side tables. However, I do like the idea of a lid thermometer and something in a color.

The question is this: can I just remove the side tables from the 1200?

I have cooked on a Q (excellent!), but never took time to see if the tables were integral or just add-ons. I'm going to use it on a large outdoor stainless work surface, so the tables aren't needed. Having a lid thermometer is a rough temp reference; don't know if I'll need the height; but I do like the idea of a color, purely for style reasons. It may come down to inventory at the retailer -- and the pure joy of paying $30 extra for essentially the same thing. :)

Got the green 1200 and removing the tables was a snap (loosen the torx bolts that hold the handle and pop one of the table pivot pins out -- ez-pz). Did a pork tenderloin and asparagus on it tonight. The Q did a great job.

make / model / pictures?

I would but don't have the 5 minutes to jump through hoops to make pics work on this site.. Basically it's a tel tru bbq100 thermometer, installed through a carefully drilled a hole in the lid using a good metal bit. Much easier to drill through the aluminum compared to the steel/porcelain kettles.

The thermometer is very accurate and useful. If nothing else you can tell at a glance if the tank is running low.
