Reheating frozen shoulder?

Hi guys, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now, back to cue! I'm hosting poker night and have a 5.5 lb shoulder that I smoked a few weeks ago. It's in 3 pieces. Took it out of the freezer Thurs morning and I was thinking crock pot on low for 4 hours with some of my homemade cider vinegar sauce. Then let it rest close to an hour and shred. Will crock pot make it too "soupy", is there a better way to reheat it? Thank you!

Hi Fred,

Hello. I'm not sure this is a "better" way but this works for me (brisket, pork and chicken):
1. Remove from freezer, thaw it out in the refrigerator 24-36hrs
2. Remove wrapping, place in a small pan and cover with foil. Place all the congealed juices in the pan. If it is KC Burnt Ends, cube the meat and add sauce(s)
3. Place in pre-heated a 275-300F oven
4. Heat for one hour, check temp, spritz with apple juice
5. Check every 20-30 for temp, spritz with apple juice.

I usually re-heat to 160F. Remove then pull, cut to order.

Gene, thank you! This was much simpler, cooked the shoulder for about 2 hours at 290, sprayed with apple juice twice the last hour and let it rest for a half hour after taking it out. It was 170 and did the trick. Thank you again. This afternoon I'm doing ribs on my WSM 18.5, let me know any can't miss tips! :)
