Read Any Good Books Lately?


 
Yeah I'm over reading digital media. My eyes don't like it. Much prefer a book and actual pages. So usually if it's a book I might find myself using in the future as a reference, I buy it

I can not read a book on a computer, phone or tablet-my eyes can't take it either, but a Kindle Paperwhite is a total different experience. It is like reading a well lit paper book. You can adjust font, contrast, brightness etc. to suit your eyes. If you have never tried one, maybe you could borrow one to try. The other thing I like are the instant definitions for words I do not know as well as Wikipedia links.
 
I just finished "The Alice Network" by Kate Quinn. It is a historical fiction based on the WW1 female spy ring by the same name. Many real events and real people mixed with fictional ones to create a good story line. Be sure to read the author's notes at the end.
 
Just finished Confronting Evil. Another eye opener. Highly recommend BUT be aware, there are some descriptions in the book of things these depots do/did that can make you hurl if you're not ready for them
I think I will pick up Leland Vittert's new book Born Lucky next
