Ranch Kettle mods?

Curious if any of you all have done any mods to your RK. can't see a lot that needs to be done with this cooker with the exception of heat shielded lid handles.

Thought a thermometer would be nice too. Anyone add one. Where and how many. Any other Mods?

I made a Coal Basket. Works great. Does that count?

since the built in thermometers are not know for accurate temps, might want to look for one that sits on the grill grate.

I have made no mods to my ranch kettle. If doing a low and slow I use my maverick to watch temps.
