Quick brat question

I threw some on at 250, and 10 minutes later I'm getting high temps (140+) in the brats already. I'm thinking my thermometer may be goofy, but how long should I be looking at? I was guess between ninety minutes and two hours.

Assuming I have to eyeball it, how forgiving are these?

They are much better grilled anyway. Do them at a high temp for 10 to 15 minutes.

I've also filled a foil pan with Sauerkraut and put that on the grill. I throw the brats in the kraut, and let it cook for 20 miutes. Talk about good! Some hot mustard and a roll, and you're all set.
