Quick BB Rib Cook Method Question

Simple question...Minion Method or Standard for my expected 6-hour smoke tomorrow?

In both cases full ring or charcoal?

Thanks!

My preference is for Minion. I did a Minion start at 5:30 and by 6:00 I was at 200. Currently the temp is at 325, my target temperature, 50 minutes from dropping hot coals on the lump.

BB's will probably not take 6 hours.

I use Standard for the shorter cooks but many, if not most, here seem to prefer MM for all low/slow cooks. Here's a link to the Standard Method, if you want to take a look. As often as I've use MM it always takes me more than an hour to get to target temp. Certainly that has to do with conditions and how much meat is on the cooker. I should probably play with more lit.

Thanks. This will be my 3rd smoke and I have tried both methods. It seems like the MM allows easier temp control on the rise.
