I just put my new 18.5 WSM together and noticed the side door does not seem to be air tight on the top outside corners. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Thanks. I tried bending it and it fits a lot better now. It should be all ready for my first smoke tomorrow.

I had to bend mine into shape as well. Allis good now.

Most everyone has to bend their door a bit. It will also leak some until your smoker gets enough "seasoning." I don't recall how many sessions it took mine (I'm sure it varies) but it didn't take terribly long before no smoke leaked out the door, or the seam where the lid rests on the cooking chamber.
