Hi! I am new to this site and I purchased my first grill new several weeks ago. This site is really helpful and enjoyable (Thanks). The Q320 is easy to assemble and it fires up the first try. I followed some posts advice on seasoning the grate with some canola oil on it. I preheated the grill in high setting for about 15-20 minutes. Then I tried grilling some steak and sausages. But next morning when I opened the grill's lid, I started to notice some cracks in the back of the lid interior that were not there before. The following is a picture of it:

May I ask if it is normal?

Thank you very much for your help.

Caleb.

Hi Caleb, welcome to the forum. Your Q320 is cast aluminum, and cast aluminum does get spider cracks with rapid temp changes. My big Q has the same cracks as your, my baby Q does not. I've had my big Q for coming up on five years now and it's fine (much to my disappointment) You'll be fine too, however if it bothers you, you can send your picture to Weber Customer Service, they may send out a replacement, hard to say

Welcome to the forum, keep the grill hot and the beer cold

Thank you very much for your help. I will contact weber customer service. Hope it will resolve quickly so I can use it again soon.

Aluminum just looks like that. I would not stop using it. Just use it. I have 2 Q's a 220 and a 140 and both lids look like that.
