Q300 GrillGrates on a Q200

Original grates on my Q300 and Q320 have gone through so many cooks that in spite of seasoning, they are now flaking badly. New grates from Amazon run about $80 or so and I found the Q300 series Grillgrates on sale for about the same price and decided to take the plunge. When I received them, thought I would see how they fit on a Q200 that I also own. Fits pretty good!!! As most of you know, They can be used on either side for various cooking situations. Pretty much pleased with the fit and they go over the existing grates which will act as the base for the GrillGrates. Just thought I would share—-

Looks pretty good. My take is that the Q’s cast iron is great as is, but in the situation you have where they are shot, this could be an interesting alternative. Since you are using them ON TOP of the old oem grates, you are not defeating their protection of the burner.

So, let us know how GrillGrates do on the Q! Maybe post some pictures?!!!
