Pulled Chicken from leg quarters

Yesterday I made pulled chicken form 20 pounds of chicken leg quarters. I kept 4 quarters out to finish on the grill. After pulling the remaining [skin removed and thrown away] the yield was only 4 pohad unds of finished product. What do you think. Was told I only had app. 15.00 including charcoal, and I couldn't buy it for that and it taste as good.

Leg quarters can be a great buy. A store nearby recently had them for $0.49/lb ! Even at normal price they are a relative bargain.
 
I was not complaining about the cost. I was just amazed there was not really much there. I think I paid .49 a pound for these. I was kind of looking for someone else to say, yell that is about normal yield.
