After using my performer a few times a week for the last 8 months the screw-on propane camping style bottle finally ran out. I tried removing it yesterday, but it won't come off. I know it was threaded correctly when I put it on. Only a little movement in each direction. Anyone else experience this in the past and have any advice for removing it?

I don't have a Performer but use that type of bottled gas on my hand-held torch. I always unscrew the bottle when not in use in-case the shut-off has a small leak.
Sometimes the bottle thread has an over-spray of paint on it. Could of seized up pretty good after 8 months.

Try opneing the valve and releasing any residual pressure. (if any.)

Try pouring some hot water over the fitting.

Try pulling the tank as you try to turn it.

Shoot some penetrating oil and leavie it sit.

Drink a beer..

If you can get a pair of channel-locks on the performer fitting hold it firmly as to not put too much torque on-it and use a strap/oil filter wrench lefty/loosey on the bottle.
