I am a bit new to Linux so I am having trouble editing files such as the index.htm and the msmtprc file for email. It always comes up as read only. I have tried to copy in a new one through winscp and edit it via command line to no avail.

Any help would be great.

I figured it out. I can now Email and receive sms messages. In Winscp I have to turn off "Look up user Groups"Advance options onSCP/Shell>Other options. After I did that I longer received the errors when I tried to edit the file needed to turn on the two settings(Enable TLS, Use StartTLS) that were needed for Gmail.
