Doing first brisket on my WSM 22.5. What spot in the brisket should I put the Maverick Probe? The point?

No, the thick part of the flat not in fat. Use temp only as a guide for when you should start checking for tender by feeling the brisket

Have to agree with Dave as if you put it in the thicker part
