Probe 3 temp with no probe

Good Afternoon,

I've been troubleshooting my 4.2 build for a while now, and I'm not sure where to go from here. Looking for a little assistance.

I have probe 1-3 defined the same way in the configuration (TX-1001X-OP). With no probes, I see the following values:

Probe 1: (off) Probe 2: (off) Probe 3: 15

If I plug a probe into probe 1 it will jump up to 66 degrees and probe 3 jumps to 21. If I move the same exact probe from probe 1 to 2, then probe 2 reads 68 degree and probe 3 stays at 21. If I remove the all probes, 1 & 2 report as off, and 3 jumps back down to 15.

So, my questions:
1) What should I troubleshoot to determine why I have ~15 degrees readings with no probes on probe three. I assumed it would be something in the two resistors behind the probe 3 port, but they look pretty good. I've cleaned them, and reflowed the solder. I'm no expert, but it looks really good to me!

2) What would cause probe 3 to jump up by ~6 degrees when I put a probe into probe 1 or 2?

3) Should I worry that the same probe produces a ~2 degree deference in temp from probe 1 and probe 2?

You guys have been very helpful, and I feel bad that I'm only asking questions around here. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute eventually. Until then, I really do appreciate all of your help!

John,

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you. It's been a long week. I just fired up my heatermeter to get those pics for you and all my probes are registering as off now. I had just gotten done re-soldering them when I looked at it before. Is it possible the heat from the iron caused some false readings? It's been off, until today, and all three probes read off now.
