Pork Shoulder injection?

I am cooking a pork shoulder tomorrow and i have two questions. I have made a shoulder without injection before but i wanted to try something different. Should a shoulder be injected and if so, with what? Second, should the outer skin be trimmed off? Any other trimming that should be done? thanks in advance for your help.

Nope, dont have to inject. I do myself often "not all the time" just because I want to. There are loads of injection recipes to try. One thing I try to do is make my injection sauces potent but im still searching for that right recipe myself..
Forgot your other Q. I remove the false cap but others dont. No rules.
