Pork Shoulder Blade Roast

Just picked up one of these at the supermarket-mainly for the fact it was on sale and was small, only about 3lbs. Then I got thinking about what it really is? Is it just part of the shoulder? Or has the whole putt been cut up into smaller chunks? Not really concerned as I plan on cooking it the usual pork butt method, although only for 5-6hrs. Was just curious as to what this piece of meat really is though.

If the package says 'shoulder blade' or 'blade shoulder' (either way is acceptable) it's a hunk of upper shoulder (butt). If a package says 'blade roast', 'rib-end blade roast', or the like, it's a roast cut from the loin nearest the shoulder.

Or, to confuse things more, I recently got "Pork Shoulder Blade Roast Boston Butt" from Sam's. Looked like a butt, cooked like a butt and tasted like a butt.
