Pork and Kraut 2014

Dear Board,

I've been waiting to do this since I got my new grills back in September. I love pork and sauerkraut for New Year's Day dinner. Doing the whole meal on a grill is a bigger challenge than I care to tackle when there is football to be watched. Keeping with the theme of Weber grills I did season the roast and put a little "bark" on it with the Genesis. The rest of the work will be dutifully carried out by the Kenmoore crockpot.

Here is the pork loin after I warmed it a bit on the grill



Here are the "special ingredients"



And here is the roast snuggled up in a bed of kraut and beer!



I'm going to let everything sit a while and then fire up the ol' Kenmoore to finish the job a bit later on.

Oh its has been some time that I have had pork and krout... That is making my mouth water. Thanks for sharing Tim

What I grew up with. Have to say I don't like kraut anymore.

Dear Paul,

That's OK, that just means there is more kraut for me, right? :cool:

I wish my camera had smell-o-vision and I could link it, but you'll see everything on a plate with pierogies in short order.
