Polder Question

I'm using a Polder wireless thermometer, and I've had it for a while. What i usually do is set it via PRGM mode to 251 Farenheit. So far so good, but what I've noticed is that if the tem phits 251, then it starts flashing and beeping, but it doesn't keep repoprting the temp. I have to go down to the base unit, press stop and start once or twice, and then it tells me what the current temp is.

I've got it at the top of the llid of my WSM.

Does tis always happen?
