Plank maintenance

Just dug out some cedar planks and used one tonight, it's been years since I've used them, I've forgotten about the "care and maintenance" of them, scrape clean, washing in hot water but no soap right?
I meant to start a new thread with this but, OOPS! Chris, feel free to move if necessary.
