Pit probe - other than thermocouple location?

Hi,

Looking at the schematics, I see that either a thermocouple or thermistor is ultimately connecting through PIT_P, and that all other thermistors are labeled "food". My question is: Can I use any of the 3 thermistors as a pit probe? My idea is to leave the thermocouple spot empty of either TC or thermistor for now so I can decide to add one or the other in the future.

Thanks!

sort of... you can disable Probe 0 in the config, it will revert to the Probe 1 port for the Pit. However, it also uses that data from Probe 1 to populate the Pit and Probe 1 on the graph screen, so not sure if I'm missing something else or if that's the way it's written. Personally, I'd put the minijack in at least and then if you decide on a TC, you can desolder that jack and put the TC circuit in. Just my thoughts...
