Picked Up A Performer for $100

Well after getting my 22.5 WSM the Performer bug bit and I pulled the trigger on a new Performer on Amazon. After about 2 hours I thought, "Hey, ya know I see folks picking up these things on the TVWBB forums off of Craigslist for sweet deals because most people don't know how great they are."

So I cancelled the order on Amazon and guess what, my ship came in! I picked up this puppy for $100, with cover because the owner is moving and decided that his gasser would stay. Fine with me!

I couldn't be happier and love the stainless steel work surface over the new plastic one. Some folks say it gets hot or puts out a glare but that is easily fixed with a silicon or rubber overlay mat.

Spray a can of oven cleaner in that top and bottom and let it sit for an hour and it will clean up like new with a brillo pad. With new grates it will be like new. Congrat's!

Thanks for the tip Rob M. I did just that and also purchased a new bottom coal grate and hinge grate and she is a shiny new beauty!
