I have some persimmon wood that was given to me. Has anyone used persimmon for smoke and what meats are best with it? Thanks.

I just found on the CBBQA website that persimmon is supposed to be OK-- to use for smoking. With what, it didn't say.

I was wondering how that persimmon wood worked for you. I have a persimmon tree on my property that is inconveniently located and I've been needing to have it taken down. If the stuff's good in the smoker, that'll give me some incentive, don't ya know.
