Persimmon Wood

I read in the archives that this is an acceptable wood for smoking. Has anyone have any experience using this wood? If so, what sort of characteristics does it have?

The pickings were slim at our local Ace Hardware. However, they had a couple bags of this.

Yes you can use persimmon wood!
Use it like any other fruit wood
