Performer: Refill your small propane bottles from a 20 lb tank

That's neat Brian. I may get one for my torch. It would save money in a short time. Thanks for posting that.
 
The kicker is that you have to cool the smaller bottle & keep the big bottle warm to "push the propane into the smaller bottle. With the 20lb er @ a warm room temp & the small bottle chilled in freezer you can get from 1/2 to 2/3 fill.

The only problem you'll have is over time the valve on the small tank isn't going to seat properly and at some point your going to have it leak. make sure you are using it outside and well away from any source of ignition.
 
For roughly the same money, maybe a little more, you can get a hose to attach your performer to a 20 lb tank. I have one, and I think it is much safer than refilling a bottle all the time.
