Does the gas ignition flame go high enough to light the Weber chimney cc w/o paper?

From the pics on the Weber site it looked like the flame was just at grate level, wasn't sure if it would reach the cc at the bottom of the chimney.

I second Jim's comment. It works great.

It actually LOOKS like it's basically at grate level in real life but it will get the chimney lit just fine.

Yes it lights the chimney just fine, but some people will invert the cone of their Weber chimney so that the coals are closer to the flame.
