My gas ignition finally bit the dust and won't light my burner on the Performer anymore. Any ideas which part I need to replace? When I press the button it clicks but it doesn't seem to spark the flame....Any ideas? Is it a hard fix?

The times that has happened to me have been an easy fix, no replacement parts. Try cleaning out the burner tube (I use some 14 or 16 gauge wire twisted together with a loop on the end). Ash, webs etc accumulate in the tube and prevent the propane from making it to the ignitor. The one time that did not work I had to clean to propane head itself the small hole had gotten clogged. Hopefully that gets you back and burning.

Mine did that a few times. I think one of those spiders built a nest in there. I just turned on the gas, and lit it manually with a lighter. It apparently burned out the obstruction and it has been working ever since. You could try that, it was a cheap and easy fix. Worth a shot.

The ignition point may still be clogged a bit or dirty that would happen on mine also. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Cool I will try to clean it tonight and see if that works...thanks!

Just out of curiosity, has it been raining? The igniter on my genesis does not work when it's been raining but works fine during dry weather.

No it's been a few months and it hasn't worked..I have just been lazy to look into fixing it! You are right though mine used to not work when damp out as well...
