Performer Gold Mods?

Anybody ever put a gas assist mod. on a performer gold? Worth the hassle and expense? Found one on CL but I like the gas assist feature. But if I can get the price right I might buy it. I would like to know if anybody has had success doing it?

I have the gas assist and love it. The problem may be getting all the parts and at what cost. Depending on the age some parts may no longer be available, you might want to check with Weber first. You might be better off looking for one with the gas already.

If you have a propane torch, than save some money and get whatever they call it without the gas assist.

I would do whatever it takes.....I would not want a Performer without gas assist.

This topic has been covered a few times and the consensus is it ain't worth the cost or effort. Best to just pick up a CL find that has the gas assist already on it.

Once you have propane start, you don't want to do without it. Good luck with your conversion if you decide to do it.
