Hello all,
I just purchased a NIB Performer from CL. Got a great deal on it. It appears to be the gray ones that were exclusive to Crate and Barrel a few years back, which is consistent with the sellers story of how he got it (wedding present). Looks to be from the 2006.

Questions is which cover do I need for this performer, the old or the new. I can't find where the change over occurs.

If it has the plastic table (2005 and newer), you need the newer style cover (#7455). The old Performers with the stainless tables use the older style covers (#8701)
 
i just purchased a cover, 8701 for my older Performer through weber web site. COuld not locate one ANYWHERE else. It was $50 bucks. I also orderd new ash sweepers as well, since I was paying shipping already.

I just purchased a new Performer at Lowes for the reduced price of $178; I need to buy a cover for this. Any recommendations on a good price for this? I think Amazono is selling them for right at $40. Is this a good price? Thanks. Steve
