Is Pecan a good smoking wood for turkey?

I've used Pecan for chicken and pork and it adds a nice flavor. I've also used stronger woods like Hickory and Mesquite for turkey, which has worked out well too. But I read on the site to use a milder wood for turkey.

Has anyone used Pecan on a turkey and how does it work out? Any other suggestions?

By the way, I brined the turkey in an apple cider, sugar, salt, clove, orange peel brine. It doesn't have a strong apple flavor when it's done, but apple wood might not be a good choice.

Thanks.

Pecan or any fruitwood, including apple, is great for turkey - since we have more pecan in our logburner pile than anything else, I tend to use chunks of it in the WSM on a regular basis. What I really like for poultry is cherry, personally, as it gives the skin a beautiful reddish-gold tint.
