Party - Surprising sauce popularity

I took a bunch of pulled pork to a party last nite..about 6 couples plus kids. I made three sauces
- a hot vinegar sauce...vaulted vinegar from smoke/spice book
- medium Red Carolina - smoke/spice book again
- medium/sweet - KC masterpiece with some rub and cider vinegar added...still very sweet.

most of the party had not had much BBQ..and never had it homemade. I REALLY expected most to use the sweet sauce. However, the Carolina Red was the most popular 2:1 to the others...AND the hot vinegar was as popular as the sweet.

I was very pleased at this given I prefer vinegar sauce and feel the sweet is for those less familar with the BBQ that "I" like at least.

I did sort of the same thing. But I used all store bought this time.
Kraft original-some of it was used but not much.
Moonlite- crowd favorite and kids favorite
Bone Suckin hot- my choice
Bone suckin original- very good response
Arthur Bryants original- nasty nasty nasty!
Sweet Baby Rays- another crowd favorite.

The bottle that was gone the fastest was Moonlite with Bone suckin hot next. I had everyone try a sample of all sauces and it proves to me that everyone likes something different, but not 1 person cared for A Bryants.
It was a fun experiment though.
