panless minion...won't go out!

Greetings all.

My first attempt panless and it cooked great. 2 beef shoulders shredded great and 1 flank steak was consumed in minutes.

However, I couldn't get the could to extinguish. With all dampers shut, it took over an hour to get the temp down to about 160F. Glowing embers were still visible when I finally removed the middle-section and precariously perched the lid over the base. That finally did the trick.

Anyone else have this problem?
