Painting alternatives

Has anyone looked into or done powder coating on one of your restorations?
Or maybe even Cerakote?
Just wondering about the long term durability compared to spray paint

I have used Cerakote clear on the plastic end pieces on my Silver C restoration. Not painting but it worked nicely. I have thought about powder coating, but I don't have the equipment and to get some one to do it would be another adder cost. This is the thread that I posted with the dyed pieces and Cerakote finish.

Yah, I have a guy at a Powder coating outfit that sand blasts my cook boxes. I keep telling my self to inquire what it would cost to powder coat one. I know it would take a special high temp version, but I keep forgetting to ask.
