Oregon Scientific wireless thermometers at Costco

Last week our local Costco was selling Oregon Scientific wireless cooking thermometers (Model AW129) with On-Off switches.

Unfortunately the stack of thermometers was so high that it obscured the price card hanging over them, and naturally I couldn’t find any red vests to help. I’ll check again on my next trip.

I have one of the oregon therms (had webers name attached to it)and bought it for that price in target. Not the best price and not the best remote therm ever. Sometimes i have trouble getting a signal even when the transmitter is right next to the remote screen. Ive had to take the batteries out and reset the unit every time i cant find a signal, but then it works pretty good. In the process of upgrading to the NU-701.

I have one of these from Weber. I find that it is my most reliable remote. It always has picked up the signal and held on to it, there is no turning it on and off to get the signal like on my Maverick. The problem with the Weber therm is the preset meat doneness temps.

Yes! I forgot that, that is definately the biggest downfall of the therm. Limited temp capacity.

Would the signal from this Oregon Scientic remote interfere with my Mavericks signal? I wonder if the are on different frequencies.
