First of all,I've never tasted paella or even knew what it was until last month. I saw Tyler Florence do a show on it on the Cooking Channel. Thought it looked amazing. Then the threads started showing up here. Thanks guys!

Just kidding! I saw the thread about the grilled paella, and knew I was going to try it. Once I found saffron at the local grocery store,I knew it was gonna be soon!
I bought all the ingredients today and had my wife and best friends over to be my "guinea pigs"! I cheated a little by making the broth inside, but everything else was done on the OTS. Got happy and forgot to get pics of the chicken and sausage cooking, but here is the pan after I added the chicken and sausage. Pammi is not crazy about dark meat,so I used some B/S breasts. Here is the finished dish. Sorry about the shaky pic,but it smelled SO FREAKIN' good,I couldn't wait to taste it! I have no idea if that is what paella is supposed to taste like, but I have been requested to make this again. Soon!

PS,it could have cooked just a couple of minutes longer. The socorrat(sp,Flaco?) wasn't as prominent as I felt it should have been, but my friends were scraping the bottom to get every last bit there was!

Shakes, or no shakes Phil; that is a fine looking meal. I'm jonesin' for some paella.

Glad to hear you got another great dish to alternate with. I still havent tryed this but it always looks great and as Shaun said i bet i will have fun doing it!

Well done

Albert, after reading that recipe,I'm thinking I stirred it too much. But it was SO good. Here it is sunday morning, and I'm still stuffed! And you know what? It was fun to make!
