Look at this bad boy. Only $18 to boot. Is that rust on the edges though? I am not a good refurber for sure but a nice start to a vintag weber collection? Well I have an old Master Touch that might qualify as well.

EDIT: Oh, and this is just like a platinum or something right? I'm still waiting on a freaking gas assist. Nice price though.

Yes that is a One-Touch Platinum and looks to be in very good condition. Excellent deal for $50.00. I just found one on Craigs List for $80.00. They are very cool even without the Gas Assist.

I don't know if it a custom grill or not, but 1969 sounds about right. I bought my Dad one just like this for Fathers Day, '68 or '69, I'm thinking. I'm not really sure. The side handles broke loose, so he drilled it and bolted them on. We've still got it, with everything original.

The only thing is, that it is really 2 tone color. When you fire her up, the bottom of the bowl turns HOT ORANGE.

As for rehabing it, I think that I would just give it a good cleaning, maybe new hub caps, ash catcher, or triangle. The rest are "wear" marks.

unfortunately, they never replied to my first email, and teh second one bounced. too bad. I'd so buy it, and with my gf gone, I wouldn't have to hide the fact I was buying a used grill
